Are you an avid reader looking for your next "fix"? Can't bear to be without some form of reading material in your spare time? Welcome to my world! Whether you are seeking a new book to "feed your need", or you are an author seeking an unbiased point of view on your own recent masterpiece, this is the place to be. With life as with books, you never know where the next step might take you...
So, QUICK NOTE...blog is pretty much shut down at the moment. We were right in the path of Hurricane Michael (like so many others), and while the family is safe (pups, and parents), the house didn't fair as well. So, reading and blogging (as much as I adore it) have to take a back burner. My apologies to any tours or promised review dates...hopefully I'll be able to "reopen" one day, but it's just not in sight as of yet. Here's hoping your reading adventures continue on with no issues! Until we meet again, stay safe, check in from time to time, and happy reading!

Taste Testing Tuesdays...and a bookish birthday!

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers!  Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this week...one book I'm about to finish and another celebrating its bookish birthday today! Ready for a tastey sample?  Here it is....

Aldwyn and Skylar followed Gilbert,careful not to stray from the lichen path, and wound their way through the deadly trap.  With every step, more flames shot out.
-- pg 110, The Familiars, book 2:  Secrets of the Crown by Adam Jay Epstein and Andrew Jacobson (ARC)
Ooh...I've read past this point, but I definitely remember what's happening.  Dangerous stuff for this trio....and yet the fate of Vastia depends on them making it through!

"If biscuits were stories," Bertie said, fixing her gaze upon the fire, "I'd bake a pan of piping hot fables right this second."
-- pg 108, Theater Illuminata, book 3:  So Silver Bright by Lisa Mantchev
Have I mentioned how much I ADORE this series?  I do...I REALLY really REALLY do!  If you haven't checked out books 1 and 2, I suggest you do.  For a sneakish peek check out my reviews of them right here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers...and watch for my upcoming review of book 3!  Oh...and happy bookish birthday once again to the fantabulous author, Lisa Mantchev!

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR.*

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Until next time....happy reading!
