Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week ... two books that I should be finishing up today, depending on free time of course, both of which will soon be featured posts during this month of Spooktacular Finds in Reading. Are you ready?
I was being and idiot. Exhibit A: Even thinking of considering a Very Lame Line like that. Exhibit B: Going ahead and considering it anyway. However, this was a case where curiosity bested consequences. In my defense, I did make a brief plea for responsibility. -- pg 56, According to Jane by Marilyn Brant
So this book doesn't seem to fit the month's reads on the surface (the cover is all sweet and innocent...*cough*cough*) but there is a ghostly aspect to it hiding just below the surface since Ja....oh, well, you'll see soon enough. ^_^
She pushed the door a few inches, and it creaked like the lid of a wooden coffin. Fine hairs twitched like electric wires on the back of her neck. She tried to inhale but couldn't concentrate on a relaxing breath. -- pg 78, The Skull Ring by Scott Nicolson
How's that for creepy suspense? Hmm? Look for his blog tour to swing through in the coming weeks, in the mean time, check out the current stops for all sorts of fun...and you chance to win 1 of 20 Kindles!
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR.*
