Are you an avid reader looking for your next "fix"? Can't bear to be without some form of reading material in your spare time? Welcome to my world! Whether you are seeking a new book to "feed your need", or you are an author seeking an unbiased point of view on your own recent masterpiece, this is the place to be. With life as with books, you never know where the next step might take you...

QUICK NOTE...Update: 10/10/19

Good news: We're back home! Bad news: It's like Apocalypse Heck Part III.

The one year Hurricane Michael anniversary is already here. Where did the time go...and yet it feels like forever. You don't realize how much you take for granted until it's all gone. I'm grateful my family/fur babies survived, and I know they are just "things", but sadly, in this life, those "things" help us get through every day. So yes, "happy" yet not. Every day is still a struggle...not just for my family, but so many others.

Thanks for stopping by and sharing my bookish adventures. It helps remind me I'm not alone in this crazy journey called life.

The Roving Reader

Hi there everyone!
Happy Friday to you one and all.
Out and about at the moment so keeping this post quick. Saw a little bookish something that looked wonderfully magical and winter-ish (which fits our crazy ever changing weather down here...it's freezing! ).  Take a look at this find..

Winterling

Anyone read it or know anything about it?  It has me curious.
So, what have you seen lately that's caught your eye? Feel free to share in the comments below or in your own Roving Reader post.

Until next time....happy reading!

I haven't heard of it but it looks like a great book. I live in Australia so the weather in this side of the world is hot, hot, hot!! I'm actually feeling a little envious of your winter!

Don't know anything about this one, I'm afraid. But I just discovered Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller which is a retelling of the Troy story from the point of view of Patrocolus. So far, so good!

Smiles!

Loving the cover. I wouldn't be at all surprised if this was published quite a while ago.

Megan: Really? Hot? Oh wait...that makes sense. Don't worry, it'll be that way here soon enough (too soon...).

Juju: Agreed!

Rebecca: Definitely.

LoriStrongin: Huh...sounds interesting. *brings up search page*

Petty Witter: It does have an older feel to the cover art....good call!
