Taste Testing Tuesdays (18)

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays!
Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading
So, I know what you're thinking...Umm, Insatiable Reader?  Yeah, it's not Tuesday, it's Thursday.  Yep, I know.  This wasn't a mistake in posting, it was merely a delayed posting to accomodate a book review this past Tuesday and since I know how we all LOVE the teaser posts (okay, I do...hopefully you do as well), I didn't want to just leave it off for a week...thus, you find it here today!
On the menu this week ... a bit of a repeat from the last post.  First one is slow going, but I'm getting there.  Second, now that I've actually started reading it, devouring it's yummy goodness.
Shall we have a taste?

If animals speak, then they can speak.  If Alice is falling down a rabbit-hole, then she is falling.  -- pg 82, Alice in Wonderland and Philosophy:  Curiouser and Curiouser by William Irwin and Richard Brian Davis

"I don't see why that play should take precedence over the classics!"  "You would think that," Gertrude said with a sniff.  "Just because you've performed for the queen--"  "I am the queen!" bellowed Lady Macbeth.  "No, I'm the queen.  You merely have aspirations for him."  Gertrude pointed at Macbeth, who was holding up a crueller and muttering, "Is this a doughnut I see before me?"  -- pg 128, Eyes Like Stars by Lisa Mantchev

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!

Cleverly Inked: Actually saw it opening weekend...it was good, but not enchanting. Still would definitely recommend seeing... =0)

Excellent teasers! I saw the movie, too. I wasn't as good as I was expecting! Kind of a disappointment, actually.
