Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week...a real life account of the blood, sweat, and tears that go into a life on the road in rock n roll. Ready for a taste? Here we go...

She just looks at me. I'm not sure if she understands where I'm going today, but I can tell something's been awakened, something that was abandoned and forgotten. For years, I heard her rave on in drunken fits about how she could've had a different life, that she gave up everything and settled for less with my grandfather. God, I hated her for saying that. All I heard was the anger and bitterness. Today I heard the regret behind it. Man, I'm never gonna f****** let that happen to me.-- pg 52, 33 Days: Touring in a Van, Sleeping on Floors, Chasing a Dream by Bill See
Unusual share, I know...especially with the foul language in there (warning, there is more in the book but it IS "rock 'n roll" so, ya know...)...but I felt that it illustrated one of the many emotional parts of the story rather well. You can feel the passion in the words chosen for both life and music and....well, it takes guts to truly follow a dream. I'll leave it at that for now, watch for the review coming soon! In the mean time, feel free to read all about it over at the book site.
