On this day of remembrance
For all that you do;
My hat's off to you
That serve or served the red, white, and blue.
Whether in agreement or fuss,
Your commitment, we could trust;
To carry us all through the harrowing hours,
Ridding the night of darkness's powers.
Your sacrifices were noted
In more than lives torn apart;
For the freedom you helped bring us
You are forever in our hearts.
