Hi everyone!
Welcome back to another exciting week here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers....where the reading is always fresh and made to order, off someone's menu at least.
Today's featured title is a blog tour guest courtesy of Pump Up Your Book. (Hi Dorothy!) It comes to us sporting a familiar name from yesteryear with a story that falls into the Contemporary Romance category of things. Word to readers, it's lighter on the romance, heavier on the life, lessons, and getting in touch with your hipper younger self aspect. So, if you're all ready to embark on our next shared bookish adventure, let's go! Lights, camera, and all eyes on....

About the book....
Erinn Wolf needs to reinvent herself. A once celebrated playwright turned photographer, she’s almost broke, a little lonely, and tired of her sister’s constant worry. When a job on a reality TV show falls into her lap, she’s thrilled to be making a paycheck–and when a hot Italian actor named Massimo rents her guesthouse, she’s certain her life is getting a romantic subplot. But with the director, brash, gorgeous young Jude, dogging her every step, she can’t help but look at herself through his lens–and wonder if she’s been reading the wrong script all along…

First things first, if the name is familiar but you just can't place it, or even if you can and you're dying for a confirmation, yes...the author is indeed kin to the infamous Danny from The Partridge Family fame. There, now that that's settled....
Erinn Wolf was a great character. I loved her seemingly unending knowledge, her inability to let things drop for the sake of dropping them, her tenacious quest to get back in the game, and her ability to be blinded by love regardless of the potential outcome. Loved her for all of these things. The author did in fact build a great character. The same can be said for Massimo, the Italian "stud" that lights up her heart when she happens upon him in the market, or even Jude, the immature film jock that is the crook in Erinn's side for most of the story. *ahem* Let's just say that YES, he was well written, but HEY to the NO could I actually see these two as anything other than working somewhat together companions. Anything more seemed WAY off base to BOTH of their characters and yet...things happen. I know, I know....love is blind, yada, yada, yada, but to me, even with my glass is half full rose colored glasses on, I couldn't make their connection work. It was like reading Shakespeare with rap music and although in some ways that would be quite humorous (so if anybody even thinks of running with that idea, remember...I SAID IT FIRST!), it wouldn't appeal to the wider audience. Sadly in this case, that audience included me.
While it didn't leave me with the warm fuzzy's, that's not to say the story was without merit. I enjoyed my time getting to know MOST of them (*cough* not so much Jude *cough*). Their trip to film the show that wasn't was fun, the hotel lacking an elevator humorous, and the rest of the filming crew a hoot and a half. Their ideas and random quote offs kept me smiling through many a page and Erinn's multiple attempts at rewriting her own life script gave me hope. Though I do wish things had been different in some areas (Jude), others played out perfectly well (Massimo...for one) leaving me confident to say that yes, it wasn't the best match for me....but then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Perhaps one glance from you and you'll be smitten...
