Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
We're celebrating another day of bookish fun with Storybook Sunday! For those not up to speed on the post, I read a lot of great storybooks and thought, why not give them their own day in the sun. Hence, Storybook Sunday! Feel free to join the fun and create a post on your own site with the same name. I'd love to see any linked up in the comments! Anywho...back to the matter at hand.
Today, we're shining a light on a surprise arrival from Penguin Young Readers. It's a Picture Book with a cover that begs the reader to come, well, do exactly what the title says to be precise! So, if you're ready, gather the family round and join me between the pages of today's book of choice...

This is simply an ADORABLE read about a little pig (Pip) and a bear (Nico) that want to play, but each in their own way. Can they get it together so both can enjoy their time together? You'll have to read it to find out, but in the mean time, let me share a little more...
Everyone knows a Pip and everyone knows a Nico...perhaps YOU'RE even one or the other yourself. ( I know I certainly identified more so with Nico's thoughts on playtime fun...^-^) That easy-to-see-yourself-in-the-characters factor, even for a title that is geared for the younger set, is what makes this book THAT much more memorable...well, that and the illustrations. If you think this duo is cute on the cover, you haven't seen anything yet! Imagine Pip as a super hero or Nico in a fedora. *smile* Outside of the "this is me" part, this simple story teaches wee ones about compromise, working together, and sharing of themselves as well as their time. It's never too early to learn ways to grow patience and understanding in a child, and this title while entertaining can also encourage that growth...in my humble opinion.

Until next time, remember...if it looks good, READ IT!
