Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week ... one book that I am just about to start (yeah, thus far it has been a slow reading week). Ready for a taste?
------------------------------------------------------------
There were times when these conversations left me feeling like a cross between a bartender and a marriage counselor or psychologist, which helped me understand the role of a bakery in people's lives: Whether it's a little treat to get them through the day, a weekend indulgence for their kids, or ordering a cake for a big occasion, our products were a source of joy for people. More than ever before, I developed an appreciation for what an awesome responsibility we had, and how we needed to treat our customers right.-- pg 107, Cake Boss: Stories and Recipes from Mia Famiglia by Buddy Valastro
Okay so I'll be starting this one today and I can already tell a few things about it from this quote and turning a few pages. Number one...I'm going to be hungry as the recipes sound scrumptious! Number two...this is going to be an interesting read. Hailing from an Italian heritage myself, I can already feel the deja vu moments setting in. We'll soon see! Stay tuned for a giveaway coming soon for your chance to win your own copy...thanks to Free Press / Simon & Schuster.

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR.*

Until next time....happy reading!

Yum, I do think I have a business card somewhere saying I am a professional taste tester. You can mail all treats in care of Mad Scientist at PO BOX...
I'm doing the teaser hop... no one has stopped by my blog yet so I pulled out my best walking gown and lovely gold slippers to stroll along the path to knock on some blog doors and stop for a chat and spot of tea.
I really like your teaser :)
I have a now have an Igor working for me at Mad Steampunkery & Book Reviews, & I currently have a giveaway that will end on the 10th.

Oh! This looks so delicious! I love his show on TV when I can catch it, so I'm sure the book will be quite entertaining. Enjoy!
Cool quote!
I was just watching this show for the first time the other day.
