Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week...a book I just started reading last night and even from the first few pages, it sounds like it's gonne be GOOD. Ready for a spooky, creepy, heck-of-a-good, you-should-add-to-your-to-read-list teaser? Here goes!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I looked at his limbs, nothing more than matchsticks, the whites of his eyes so bright they seemed to light up the entire room. The thought that he was still in my head somewhere, still alive after everything they had done to me, made my stomach churn.
Ooohh....now I REALLY want to know who is is talking about....*curious*.
From everything I've heard, this installation of the series only adds to its overall "greatness"....which is not easily done as a series continues to grow. Can't wait to get further along in the book and see just what happens next. This book was released in paperback recently so go ahead, grab yourself a copy...but be sure to read BOOK 1 first! Reviews of all read thus far, coming soon.....
Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Until next time....happy reading!
Oh my! That is one teaser! I do hope you are enjoying the book.
Oh! Creepy teaser, but good! Sounds like a great series. :o)
Juju: Agreed...the stories are, but oh-so-good!
Melissa: Yup...for sure! ^_^
The1stdaughter: Yes...yes it is....
This was definitely my least favorite installment in the series, but still an action-packed read for sure.
This series isn't exactly to my taste, but the boys do love it, and when book four came in, there was practically a fight at the circ desk! There is something oddly philosophical in between the violence. The British certainly know how to do horror!
