Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Today, we're joining an iRead Book Tours promotion already in progress starring a Romantic Comedy that will have you in smiles, stitches, and daydreams...in no particular order. Some of the "fun" could have been taken from my own hometown here recently, but I'll elaborate on that in a bit. For now, pack your bags and get ready for the trip of a lifetime, in more ways than one, with today's book of choice...

About the book...
Breanna Mitchell is on her way to a relaxing vacation at the ocean. Maybe she'll even have a beachside fling to help her get over a recent breakup. But when a tropical storm makes her destination hotel uninhabitable, a chance encounter at continental breakfast delivers a fabulous option—with a catch.
She and her friends can stay at a privately-owned, three-story oceanfront home—if she pretends to be the girlfriend of the owner's heartbreaker grandson, Ethan. Since he won't even be there, how hard could it be?
Everything is going swimmingly until Bree drinks too much wine and regales the family with romantic tales about her relationship with Ethan. His adorable brother Adam gets suspicious. His marriage-minded grandma gets engagement fever. The beautiful woman next door gets teary-eyed.
And then, Ethan unexpectedly arrives. Suddenly Bree is about to get everything she's ever wished for—but is it what she really wants?

Think While You Were Sleeping minus the coma, plus a beach setting and you've got the bare bones of this book. Is that a bad thing? Hey to the no! I adored that movie and being reminded of it is not a hardship in the least, plus the details and setting switches the author makes allows it to own the theme without seeming to be a carbon copy.
We begin with three besties on their way to a beach vaca when DUN-DUN-DUNNNNN, one Hurricane Drake swoops in to derail their plans...only it doesn't impact the area the way it was expected, only enough to sink their proverbial party ship. Bummer...or is it fate? You see, the girls started a little thing called The Continental Breakfast Club (you'll have to learn more about it in the book itself) and their chance meeting with one Kristen Caruso is going to do more than add to their friendship roster; it's going to land one of them the role of a lifetime. Enter Bree now starring as...Ethan's girlfriend-or-possibly-soon-to-be-something-more? Oh boy. If you can smell a scheme, you're nose isn't wrong, but it's being made/played with the best intentions at heart...too bad it was going so well that everyone was convinced fiction was truth. Why too bad? Oh well, you see things like this usually work best with the least number of parties involved and when one arrives on the scene unexpectedly, chaos, commotion, and potential going down in flames loom on the horizon. Will Bree be able to keep up the charade? Will Ethan want to when he discovers just what's going on? Will Grandma see through it all before they even get that far? So many questions, but only one way to find out... *whispers* read the book!

I'm telling you, I laughed, I gasped, I didn't cry but I did get misty eyed, all while my heart was free to soar with Breanna's search for Mister Right. She and her friends certainly have down pat what they want, but sometimes the unplanned option, the someone you never saw coming is actually the one that's best for you. It was great seeing her catch her breath in the middle of the hubbub. It was wonderful to see her realize the truth among the lies before it was truly too late. It was HI-larious when she gave Grandma the "back up" present at her birthday celebration and everyone assumed it was something else entirely than what it was....Ha ha HA...and the Single Bingo night sounded like fun (though you wouldn't catch me doing it). Listening to her get a bit loose lipped after some fine wine and spilling the beans about her and Ethan's wonderfully romantic relationship, just added to the feels and allowed us to indulge our own "the one" fantasies. Bree's friends were a great pair as well, equally supportive and able to call her out on bad decisions, but the family Caruso really stole the slot for next favorite character with their closeness and desire to see each other happy...of course, the brothers being not so hard on the eyes and a soft touch to the heart, didn't do any harm either. They were just a great bunch and really made the story THAT much better.
To conclude, if you like Romantic Comedies, this is definitely a book for you. The characters are likable, the story just plausible enough, and the ending, something to remember. I will say this, though I've not read the first in the series, I didn't feel as if I was missing out on anything...something that can't be said for every series....but I will be adding book one and the forthcoming book three to my future reading list. Though aimed at an adult audience, I'm comfortable recommending it for teen readers as well because while the potential for things is there, it's a squeaky clean read.
