HI guys and gals!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
We're celebrating another day of bookish fun with Storybook Sunday! For those not up to speed on the post, I read a lot of great storybooks and thought, why not give them their own day in the sun. Hence, Storybook Sunday! Feel free to join the fun and create a post on your own site with the same name. I'd love to see any linked up in the comments! Anywho...back to the matter at hand.
Today, we're celebrating those clouds of gray as we discover just how much fun can be had both in and after the rain via a Templar Books release that hit a little earlier this year. So, if you'd be so kind as to grab your rain gear, we can get this party started! Today's storybook on deck is...

Templar Books
From its rain dappled cover (with actual texture to the drops!) to the forlorn expression on the face of the little man sitting on the stoop, this book begs for your attention right from the start. Once we crack the spine, we discover a watery world where a grandson and grandfather have different ideas of how to pass the time when the weather is less than ideal. Little man wants to go play in the spray, splash in the puddles, and view the world as it usually isn't; our wizened friend prefers to practice patience and wait out the storm while accomplishing in the house tasks, including writing a letter that apparently is of the utmost importance. Age and youthfulness meet when it's time to send off the mysterious letter, and a break in the storm provides the perfect avenue...until, it doesn't. No need to worry though because even though patience is a virtue and a lesson well learned from word go, it doesn't mean that a little impromptu fun can't be had when Mother Nature decides not to fully cooperate.
It was good to see our young friend learning the different ways to pass a rainy day, but even better when his grandfather joined him in his imagination filled romp through the droplets. It reminds us of the simple pleasures in life and how any day has beauty...if only we look close enough. Add this to your rainy day or any day collection for a fun filled puddle stomp...without the muddy mess.
