About the book...

To wedded Lady?
Lady’s maid Jane Bailey’s life is turned upside down by the arrival of wealthy gentleman Robert Kendal. He’s come to take Jane to visit her long-lost, aristocratic grandfather. Travelling together, they succumb to a mutual attraction. Yet Jane knows a maid should not hope to love a gentleman, even if she’s suddenly wearing silk dresses and dining with the Family. Society decrees they cannot marry, but how long can Jane deny her heart?

Take a dash of historical and a good serving of the forbidden, and you've not only got one heck of a romance, but a fabulous story, such as we have here!
Jane Bailey was in for the surprise of her life in the form of Robert Kendal....as is he of she. Neither knows the other for who they truly are...or even why they are seeking the other for that matter, but sometimes forced proximity can in fact make the heart grow fonder! Seeing Robert's eyes get opened to the potential love of his life working for the lady of another house, and watching Jane's heart blossom despite her unsure footing in her new surroundings, makes for one heck of a read, and one that I'd gladly turn the pages of again!
A definite recommend for Historical Romance fans who adore a smart leading lady, paired with a dashing leading man, both of whom are trying to lead with their head's in lieu of their hearts, only to discover the riches to be had when a balance is achieved.

What sounds like another good book tour organised by Rachel. Much as I enjoy a well written feisty female character I thought this might be too heavy on the romance so decided against a place on the tour.
I totally understand your hesitation, but it really wasn't! ♡
