Tis the season for great reads, and today's featured title adds another checkmark in the column of NICE! It's a Romantic Comedy currently on tour with Rachel's Random Resources, and I've got to tell you...it was SO GOOD! It had humor, meet cutes, boy next door and brother's best friend tropes, and ultimately a satisfying end. What book am I going on about? Only today's blog tour guest and and BOOK BIRTHDAY celebrant in the review spotlight...
He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not

About the book...
Dax Hartley has made flowers his entire life, just like his late father did.
When his dad's old florist’s shop is up for sale, he has to have it. Only problem is, he'd need to sell a kidney to afford it. The reality show Battle of the Blossoms is the perfect opportunity to win the money he needs, but when his childhood crush blows back into his life, distractions risk taking his eyes off the prize. He needs his head and heart to start working together to ensure he doesn't miss the opportunity of a lifetime.
Hollyn Matthews has made some colossal mistakes in life.
When she's dumped just as she's expecting an engagement ring, she knows she's put her heart into the wrong man. Hoping for a second chance at being a grown-up, she moves home to stay with her brother and his best friend Dax, a boy whose memory faded as she ran away from her past. Facing the hurt she left behind means facing some home truths about herself, but there’s one boy who has always loved her, if only she’d take the time to notice him.

Go on any social media site and round up a group of readers, especially those that read Romance in any form. You're bound to hear one two word term of endearment rather frequently...BOOK BOYFRIEND. I've never really subscribed to the notion, but here lately, I'm compiling a list! My last few additions included Rhys (Imperfect Angel), and Luka (Lovelight Farms), but I've got to make room for yet another entry because DAX has GOT to be on there! First, let's find out why, and get a little better feel for the story...
When first we meet Dax, he's the flower boy...but in a non traditional way. He's LITERALLY the flower boy in the fact that he's the florist in the midst of a major flower wall creation...and he's the flower boy in the soon-to-be viral (well, assumedly) video shaking his money maker while dolling out rose petals at the bequest of the bride. Yep. Flower boy in all his glory...but seriously, he's a doll! Accommodating, forgiving, a truly lovely soul following in his dad's footsteps...all wrapped up in a scrumptious package (sorry, trying to focus) that apparently drives the ladies wild. Grant it, he doesn't sound like a player...but he could be, if he wanted to...but again, unlikely, he's so sweet! Anywho, then we meet Hollyn who's having THE BEST DAY OF HER LIFE, and if you believe that, I've got some oceanfront property to sell you in Idaho. ๐คจ Yeah, definitely not the best day, though I SUPREMELY applaud her reactions to the *sshat situation that unfolds, as well as the "little goodbyes" left at the apartment. Flash forward, she's back in her hometown being picked up by...well, decidedly not her brother, but his best friend, her new temporary roommate, and the guy who had a huge undisclosed crush on her in her teens...Dax. Yep. Can you see where we're going with this?
I love the way he battles his supposedly diminished feelings for her, while still showing his heart. He knows she's been through hades, and he's there for her come what may...but he also has his own things to deal with (thanks to his charming sister!) like a reality show, and a fully booked season of weddings to get off without a hitch. Finding the balance is what leads to some interesting situations, and realizations, on both their parts, as well as a few moments you'll LOVE being privy to. Let's just say that more than the flowers are blooming this season! Hols was a great character too...sorry for all the drooling over Dax, but, come on, it's DAX! Anyway, Hollyn was spectacular despite what she perceives as her own shortcomings. The ick-fest that was our intro to her life, SEVERELY unfortunate, but it's definitely a case of one-door-closing-and-another-opening in life and perchance in love!
If you're a fan of Romantic Comedies, or know one that is, this is definitely a book you don't want to miss!
