RRR presents... A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts by Kathy Strobos - REVIEW!

Life imitates art.
No, wait...art imitates life?
Well, in any case, we've got LIFE and we've got ART in today's Romcom on tour with Rachel's Random Resources, so prepare for a little culture, while being entertained too!  Ladies and gents, today's ebook of choice and blog tour guest...

A Scavenger Hunt for Hearts
by
Kathy Strobos

About the book...
When Kiara is dumped by text and then ghosted by her boyfriend, she resolves to concentrate on her successful artist career and leave dating to those who can handle that heartbreak.

But the chance to dress up as a teacup work of art and participate in a scavenger hunt at the New York City modern art museum to win her favorite artist’s painting has her pairing up with a stranger dressed as a Rembrandt.

He may not know much about modern art, but he certainly knows how to make her heart beat.

Can Kiara take a chance on love again?

Romcoms hit everyone a little differently, but I think fans of the genre can agree on a few MUST HAVE points...

1.  Relatability
2.  Humorous situations
3.  Potential to love again

...am I right?  😃

This story has all three in spades, and, considering it's a novella, that's a pretty big feat!  Kiara is definitely in a relatable situation...having been dumped without any warning signs by someone she cared for, and, while trying to move on with her life, running into same said former boyfriend making eyes with his new flame...after only THREE WEEKS.  Yeah, cringe worthy, right?  Hence the relatable.  As for HUMOR, I mean, we've got a teacup racing around with Rembrandt, just to paint you a quick picture...she's dressed as the teacup, while the random stranger she pairs off with for the scavenger hunt is the "artist".  Grant it, nothing could be further from the truth because she's, in fact, the artist, while he ends up with a completely different background, but I digress.  Then there's the witty banter, plus the hide-and-seek from her ex in the MOMA event...loved the scene when she was merely trying to hide her saucer-sized behind (quite literally...remember the costume!) behind said Rembrandt's suit and they were mistaken for a work of art!  😆  That moment segues nicely into the "potential to love again" list item because along with the moments of laugher, there are also shared glances, brief touches with sparkage, unexpected flirtiness on BOTH sides, and further along in the story...well, you get the picture.

So as I said, art imitating life with fab results worthy of a MOMA moment, and the perfect story to add to your summer reading list for a quick afternoon escape!
