In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren.
Through her guidelines, your post does not actually have to be named the same and thus my post shall be..."In My Shopping Bag". (just fits with the "foodie" theme a bit better in my humble opinion)
Let's take a peek inside my shopping bag from this past week....and the week before. Yep, I was a bad, bad blogger...but trust me, the bounty was worth it! Get your wish lists ready, here come the books!

Hooper Finds a Family: A Hurricane Katrina Dog's Survival Tale by Jane Paley
(Review copy courtesy of Arianna ay HarperCollins)
Out just in time for the anniversary of the natural disaster that affected so many lives, this children's title aims to shine a light on a positive outcome from the storm waters that would not subside. Based on a true story...I'm expecting a tear or two along the way for this little fella...
Unrevealed
Promisory Payback
by Laurel Dewey
(Review copies courtesy of Partners in Crime Tours)
Two short stories/novellas of the mystery sort....looks like a great October read, right? Watch for the blog tour to swing through that very month!
Pumpkin Roll by Josi Kilpack
(Review copy courtesy of Tracee with Pump Up Your Book)
Tastey looking treat there...but wait...is that knife a little sinister looking or is it just me? O_O Watch for this pumpkin to transform into a review this October as the blog tour makes an appearance, right here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers...
White Knight by Raiza Denise
(Review copy courtesy of the author)
This one I'm curious about. Why? Well, let's just say the origins of inspiration were surprising to me. As my review won't be for another month or two and I know you're curious, feel free to check out the author's site to discover more on your own in the mean time...

Josi has a new one out? Coooll.
Ooooo The Girl Who Chased the Moon is awesome. Enjoy.
TONs of books I love. Time Traveler's Wife, Very Valentine and The Book of Lost Things!!! One of my favorites.
I also put The White Devil on hold for me at my library. Good stuff lady!
Juju: Yep...though this is my first experience with the author. ^_^ That second one you mentioned...I'm pretty sure the recommendation that got it on my wish list was from you!
Michelle: Hehe..yep, tons. Couldn't resist! THE BOOK OF LOST THINGS I blame a coworker for...they showed it to someone else in the store and were all "hey, if you don't like it, I know Gina will..."...and of course, they were right. ^_^
Looks like you're going to be very busy in the next few weeks! A few of those books are on my wish list (Elixir and The Time Traveler's Wife). And how cute is that cover with the dog? It looks like a great book. :)
Enjoy Grey's Anatomy! Love that show but I've missed the last season. Gotta wait until it comes out on dvd, I guess.
As for me, I didn't buy any books this week. Well only books for class but they're not that exciting. I did buy season 2 of Glee, though. :)
Happy Reading!
Melanie
Awww, you also have the Hooper book in your shopping bag. I want to finish that inspiring book but I can't because I shed tears easily. But it's okay because it deals with survival and love in the time of disaster.
