Are you an avid reader looking for your next "fix"? Can't bear to be without some form of reading material in your spare time? Welcome to my world! Whether you are seeking a new book to "feed your need", or you are an author seeking an unbiased point of view on your own recent masterpiece, this is the place to be. With life as with books, you never know where the next step might take you...

QUICK NOTE...Update: 9/7/19

First of all, my heart goes out to all those affected by the recent heinous weather outbreaks, most recently being Hurricane Dorian. We were right in the path of Hurricane Michael (like so many others), and we're still trying to get back in our home. Things are very slow to progress towards normalcy...and every day presents a new headache/nightmare to deal with. Hopefully by month's end, we'll be back in there to start the next leg of recovery. Thanks for stopping by and sharing my bookish adventures. It helps remind me I'm not alone in this crazy journey called life.

Taste Testing Tuesdays

Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays here at Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers! Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading

On the menu this a chunkster of a title that just so happens to be the second book in a trilogy I sampled last year.  Ready for a taste?  Here we go!

The Healing Crystal, Book 2:
Fall of Eden
Michele Poague

Hours later a steady drizzling rain obscured the morning sun, stretching out the dawn.  Running for one's life isn't the most pleasurable way to spend the day, and the cold rain made it all the more uncomfortable, their new blankets now heavy with moisture.
-- pg 161

Siede laughed.  He'd flustered her, and she was adorable.  He wanted to kiss her, but as he turned her head to face him he heard the unmistakable sound of horses coming up the hill.
-- pg 230

The first is right along the lines of what they are doing now (some 100 pages before this tease) but the SECOND is an unexpected exchange between Siede and...well, it doesn't say and I didn't peek but I can't say I'm not CURIOUS to know just who was on the receiving end of the laugh.  It's an interesting series that combines past, present, and future with a mix of cultures all adding up to one BIG adventure.  Stay tuned for the blog tour swinging through later this month!

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:

*Grab your current read

*Open to a random page

*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)

*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!

Oh good teasers! And I wonder who would be interrupting them on horses? Shame on them. :) Thanks for the teasers.
