About the book...

When I woke up this morning and went to my regular coffee house, I had no idea my life was about to change forever.

Cael’s devastatingly handsome smile and his intense green eyes are swoon worthy enough by themselves, but add in an air of mystery and this guy is the whole package. The excitement I never knew I was missing in my life.

As we grow closer, we find out the fate of two worlds is in our hands. And now we must work together to find allies to prevent a cycle of destruction that could end all life as we know it.

Each time we touch, we feel a connection. I’m drawn to him in ways that I don’t understand. For as long as I can remember, I’ve had a recurring nightmare, and now I find out that Cael has the same dream.

But what does it mean? I know I can trust him with my life, but can I also trust him with my heart?

Silver Dagger Book Tours presents... GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE by Cynthia Terelst - SPOTLIGHT + GIVEAWAY!

Get off Your High Horse
Love Down Under Book 3
by Cynthia Terelst
Genre: Contemporary Royal Romance

When two opposites collide, will their differences ignite a spark or send them into turmoil?

Frankie and Sebastian live totally different lives. Lives that are entwined through polo, the sport of kings.

Frankie’s a country girl, working hard toward her dream of turning the family farm around. She needs to endure one more polo season to make that happen. She has no interest in high society or the rich, arrogant riders she has to deal with, especially Sebastian. Her heart may be softening to his charm, openness and love of working with horses, but her brain won’t be convinced. She looks forward to her summer break on the farm, away from him, until her parents decide to invite Sebastian to stay.

Sebastian descends from royalty. Rich and arrogant come with his family title. But that status is something he’d rather avoid, just like he avoids returning home to a life he doesn’t want. Sebastian sees a freedom in Frankie he wishes he had. Her life is full of love, family and horses; something he can only dream of. And her, he can dream of her. But a dream is all it will be, seeing as Frankie does her best to avoid him.

If only he can convince her to look past his title, and see that his hopes and dreams aren’t so different from hers.

Cynthia Terelst is a project officer by day and a writer by night. She is a contemporary romance writer who likes to share a little bit of history, some Australian scenery and a whole lotta love. Cynthia does not shy away from difficult topics, as she feels that they should not be ignored.

She lives in Queensland, Australia, where the sun shines at least 283 days a year.

The Children's Book Review presents... WHO LOVES THE DRAGON? by Bianca Schulze - REVIEW + GIVEAWAY!

Hi guys!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

2021 is off to a rip roaring start as we all try to figure out how the new norm will be affected by the vaccine that...well, quite frankly many can't get their hands on, but reading wise?  I've got a packed schedule and I'm looking forward to every page!  Take today's post...

It's another FAB tour via The Children's Book Review and it's starring a very special title that I am pleased as punch to be a part of the tour kickoff!  I mean, look at us!  It's not even a year to the day of my review of her first book and BAM!  She's back with another!  (Way to go Bianca!)  So, if you're ready for another adventure with one great, big, red, and well meaning but sometimes disagreeable dragon, then let's do this!  Today's blog tour guest and title in the spotlight is...

About the book...
In this interactive follow-up to Don’t Wake the Dragon, our beloved Dragon is wide-awake and preparing to celebrate one of the kingdom’s most important events of the year: the annual Friendship Festival! It’s a time for everyone to gather and have fun, all honoring their meaningful friendships. But on the day of the feast, the cooks are called away to cater to the Queen and the knights must report for special duty in the Enchanted Forest. With everyone gone, Dragon is upset and worried that this year’s Friendship Festival is doomed. Could they be planning something special for her? And in the meantime, can you help cheer her up? With colorful and humorous illustrations throughout, this read-aloud picture book encourages kids to interact with the text on every page. Young readers will love waving to characters, blowing kisses, dancing, and more on this fun ride alongside Dragon and her adorable friends in this delightful story that will beg to be read again and again.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
That rascally dragon is back and she's ready to steal your heart once again!  The kingdom is preparing for their annual Friendship Festival and though it's Dragon's favorite time of year, it seems that no one is going to be there to celebrate with her!  Oh dear.  That's awfully upsetting for your average kingdom dweller, let alone a fire breathing (when necessary) dragon!  Good thing YOU came along to help sooth the supposed savage beastie just in the nick of time.  Are you up to the task?  Can you help Dragon feel better about the whole situation, at least until her friends can finish their own duties and maybe, just maybe, surprise her in their own ways?  FABULOUS...because, you know, a disappointed dragon is not something anyone wants to see, or any kingdom need suffer the affects of...
I really loved this one and it was the perfect follow-up to the first release, Don't Wake the Dragon.  All our friends are back, we get a colorful story about a festival that sounds utterly charming, and readers are drawn into the tale to calm, cheer up, and ultimately celebrate the joyous bonds of friendship.  In a time when social distancing is a must, it can be hard to remember that though at least six feet apart, our true friends are always with us.  So embrace those technologies.  Do the social media dance, ZOOM meet ups, video calls, and emails.  Pick up a classic and write a letter.  Send a care package through their favorite online store or local small business.  Greet them with smiles and air hugs and make everyday a Friendship Festival, for whether near or far, the love we share remains and that's the greatest gift of all!
Happy BOOK BIRTHDAY to... TO WHATEVER END by Lindsey Frydman - REVIEW!
Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Here's hoping 2021 is going well thus far, and only sunny days are ahead!  As for me, I've been working an awful lot, but it pays the bills so, yeah, it's better than NOT working...but I've also got a pretty full reading schedule, and some new obligations to the Cybils Awards round two judging to do, so if you don't see me out an about social media wise a bunch this month, that's totally why.  Anywho...
Today's post is really all about CELEBRATING the BOOK BIRTHDAY of a NEW Entangled Teen release that's ready for your immediate consumption...and seriously, you're gonna want to check it out!  It's got otherworldly abilities, best friends, first loves, and danger to spare.  So, if you're ready, let's grab our party hats and a handful or two of confetti because we're about to duck between the epages of today's featured title...
About the book...
What if with every person you met, after just one touch, you have a vision of the last time you’ll see each other? Ever. Normally, these visions are innocent—two friends just drifting apart, a random stranger that brushed past you then never crossed your path again.
But not today.
When I accidentally touch him, within only moments of our first meeting, I’m bombarded by visions of his death.
And from what I can see, I’m the reason he dies.
Now I just need to figure out why, and how to stop this from happening. Because not only am I to blame, but his very last words to me are...I love you.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Oh my word!
So, I got SO caught up in this one, it was hard to put down to do normal every day things...like work, or household chores, or pretty much ANYTHING other than read this book!  Somehow I managed it, but it wasn't easy, nor my first choice.  Now about that story...

Quinn's predicament is definitely something to shoulder.  A blessing or curse, however you view her "power" is in the eye of the beholder, but what she's seen most recently is definitely on the darker side of things.  A death, but not just any, nor was it any old way, or of someone if no importance.  No, this was someone she had yet to know, and if her vision is anything to go by (which it always is) yet to LOVE.  How's THAT for a fortune cookie that NO ONE wanted ever?  Yeah, exactly.  So, how to fix it?  CAN it be fixed?  Is anything actually broken or are we embarking on a Final Destination-esque journey that will only end when everyone is taken out?  Questions aplenty, but answers are few and far between.

Watching Quinn and same said mysterious stranger turned potential love (aka Griffin) was SO HARD.  I mean, would knowing your relationship has an expiration date help or hurt?  What about is only ONE party knows?  Yeah, my heart bled for Quinn...but Griffin's life wasn't a walk in the park either, and as we learn more about him, we see where the deadly turn of events could be coming from.  Word to the wise?  Literally about halfway through...there's a twist you won't see coming.  Promise.  Now, later on, there's a few turns that I did see coming, but that could be because of the books I've read previously making me already suspicious of those that your average reader may not be (and since none of you are average, I'm pretty sure you'll pick it up to), but it doesn't ruin anything because, just like Quinn's visions, you just won't believe the outcome until you've read it with your own eyes.  Love is lost for good, life is lost for some, and eyes are opened to things that were kept hidden like so many skeletons in a closet.

All in all, it was definitely a title I enjoyed, but even the best of them can have tiny flaws.  One small mention of a minor pet peeve for me...Quinn's time spent in her head.  Honestly, a big part of the book is her going back and forth about whether to tell or not, can she do anything or not, bemoaning her fate, and the lot.  It's not that I didn't love the girl, but I do think that she might have been able to be investigate everything in the real world as opposed to her mind.  Anywho, obviously from my gushing words above, you can tell it was only a speed bump in my reading adventure because my FINAL VERDICT is that I loved it!  I would highly recommend it to Contemporary Young Adult fans who love a bit of mystery, romance, friendship, and something DARKER that doesn't go BUMP in the night, but BANG!

About the author...

Lindsey has been writing since she was nine years old, when she discovered the awesomeness that is Harriet the Spy. Her books always include a romance, though sometimes there’s an added sci-fi or magical realism twist. She lives in Columbus, Ohio (where the weather is never quite right). Her BFA in Photography and Graphic Design has granted her a wide assortment of creative knowledge that serves as inspiration (and not much else). When she’s not crafting YA and NA stories, you'll likely find her spending waaay too much time on Pinterest, playing a video game, singing show-tunes, or performing in a burlesque show—because she enjoys giving her introversion a worthy adversary. (Plus, it's the closest to Broadway she’ll ever get.) Lindsey was a proud 2016 Pitch Wars Mentee and thoroughly adores being a part of the wonderful writing community. THE HEARTBEAT HYPOTHESIS is her debut novel.

It's 2021.... FEEL LIKE EGGS? by Jeff Goodman - REVIEW!

Hi there!
Welcome back to the 2021 edition of Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

For those that have been with us, it's been a long ride...and a good one too, if I do say so myself!  2020 might have sucked biscuits big time, but the reading was still good, if not great, and we're looking to the future for a bigger, brighter, better tomorrow, and that all starts today!  So, I wish you and yours a very happy new year, and let's kick things off with a bang as we focus in on our first review of the year starring a new title from Precocity Press!

by
Jeff Goodman

This a book that explores the sometimes overwhelming amount of feelings that surround us with acceptance, understanding, and the right perspective to see that there is room for more than one within a group, within a family, or within our self.  There is no right or wrong way to feel, there is just YOU....and YOU are quite perfectly perfect just the way you are.  Whether silly like our scrambled egg, sensitive like our poached friend, or effervescently pleasant like mister sunny side up, each of us experiences SO MANY feelings throughout a day, throughout a week, throughout our lives and none of them are less valid than any other.  The colorful illustrations combined with witty rhymes takes readers on a memorable journey that will not only leave them with a better understanding of all those emotions that can run wild, sneak in, or surprise us, but a fun new way to help explore and express those wide ranging feelings.  Oh and you might have a craving for eggs when you're finished too...just trust me on this one!
