Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're playing host to a stop along the Rachel's Random Resources tour to bring you a closer look at a Contemporary Romance title that puts the idea of long distance relationships to the test.  It's the first book in the From Here to You series and, from the sound of things, will definitely be worth a second look!  Ready or not, here comes today's title in the spotlight...

From Here to Nashville
From Here to You series, Book 1
Julie Stock

About the book...
Two worlds, 4,000 miles apart. Is their love strong enough to keep them together?

Rachel Hardy dreams of being a successful country music singer in Nashville's Music City, four thousand miles away from her lonely life in Dorset. When Jackson Phillips, an independent record label owner, encourages her band to audition for a nationwide 'Open Mic' competition, she decides they have nothing to lose.

But when she starts to fall in love with Jackson, the stakes suddenly get higher and she finds herself with a great big dilemma on her hands. Should she abandon her dream and take the easy way out or should she leave the life she has always known behind and take a gamble on a man who has personal demons of his own?

Follow Rachel and Jackson as they learn to trust in love again to see whether their music really can unite them.

~~~ EXCERPT ~~~
This extract is from the beginning of the story when Rachel and Jackson are just about to meet for the first time.
Poole, Dorset, England
‘It’s time for our last session of the evening now, folks. We’re proud to present to you the next big thing in UK country music. Please give it up for local band Three’s Company!’
     The crowd applauded in response and I took a deep breath to try and stop my heart from racing as I walked over to the microphone. It didn’t matter how many gigs we did, I still felt nervous every time. With a quick glance round I checked that Sam, the guitarist, and Matt, the drummer, were ready. I tossed my hair over my shoulder and moved my guitar into position, running my fingers gently over the strings to reassure myself before the growing audience.
     The boys played the opening bars of Lady Antebellum’s ‘Need You Now’ and I relaxed, letting my voice take over and lead the way.  As the song ended, the crowd gave another good round of applause so we went straight on to our second number. About halfway through, I spotted a man watching me intently. He was tall, with broad shoulders and he had a healthy-looking tan. His dark brown hair curled invitingly around his face and his jaw was covered by a fine layer of stubble. He smiled encouragingly so he didn’t put me off my stride and reluctantly I looked away. But I was intrigued.
Silver Dagger Book Tours presents... THE WAKING OF GHOSTS by Lilliana Rose - EXCERPT!
The Waking of Ghosts
Lost Souls Academy Book 1
by Lilliana Rose
Genre: Teen, YA Paranormal Fantasy
There is an evil awakening.
At the Lost Souls academy, students aren’t your typical everyday alumni.
Rejects from clans, packs, and covens walk these halls, but there’s something more sinister haunting the academy.
A resident ghost has new student, Zarya, on the fight to banish it. Will her actions cause more enemies at her new school than friends?
‘I’m coming for you.’
A message from beyond has Zarya fearful. Her skills are underdeveloped, but as a ghost hunter, she must stand and fight this new evil.
Can Zarya grow to be the ghost hunter she’s destined to be or will forces overpower her and bring chaos and destruction to the Lost Souls academy?
Goodreads * Books2Read
Zarya kept to the concrete path that pushed away the patches of green grass, full and lush from a gentler-than-normal summer and overwatered by the city council. Her breath eased, despite her keeping a fast pace and the heaviness on her shoulders as if she fought off the memories, but they continued to chase her. The park was doing as it was designed, offering a sense of peace for those who passed by and gave the city a chance to breathe, instead of concrete over every inch.
Nature wasn’t somewhere Zarya sought in the modern thoughts of being mindful and at peace. She preferred the high-rise buildings, tons of concrete, smell of heavily polluted air, and buzz of life in its business as well as the tension of how the paranormal lives resided undetected with humansat least most of the time.
Zarya looked ahead to see how much further until the edge of the park. She wanted to get back walking on the sidewalks, the cars rushing past on one side, and the comfort of buildings on the other with people dashing in between.
A swirl of wind picked up a handful of fallen leaves, breathing false life into them as they floated upward, circling in the air.
Her skin prickled.
Her thoughts tangled.
She tried to discern what was attacking her. A ghost? A typical mundane mugging? It wasn’t something she wasn’t used to.
A rush of energy came from behind, but Zarya reacted too slow, side-stepping out of the way. The bolt of energy partially hit Zarya, knocking her to the ground. The path hit hard on her backside, sending a shooting pain up her spine, and her breath rushed from her lungs. Zarya’s mind raced thinking of what had just happened. How could she have missed sensing a ghost? She’d never had something like this happen before. Her skills were reliable, good, and she always had enough time to prepare.
The air chilled around her. It smelled of a rotting ghostly spirit. Yet, she wasn’t sure.
She sat, stunned, hands by her sides, ready to push herself up, so she could fight back.
But no one was there.
RRR presents... WHEN ADAM MET EVIE by Giulia Skye - REVIEW!
Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Image result for valentine's day
Today, I'd like to wish everyone a very HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!  Whether you have a sweetheart, are between sweethearts, or prefer to fly solo, YOU ARE AMAZING, YOU ROCK, and take today and CELEBRATE YOU!  Now, I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate than by bringing YOU the perfect read for your love filled day.
With that in mind, we teamed up with Rachel's Random Resources (woot woot!) for another fabulous tour.  This time it features a Contemporary Romance that will take you from heartbreak to the heights of new love and then some, with a little cloak and dagger type intrigue, jealous lovers, and a whole lot more along the way.  So, ready or not (but in the Australian outback, it's best to be prepared!), here comes today's blog tour guest and ebook of choice...
When Adam Met Evie
Giulia Skye
About the book...
When former Olympic Swimmer, Michael Adams—now Canada’s hottest reality TV star— insults his fake showbiz wife on social media, he escapes the ensuing scandal and jumps on the first flight to Australia. Desperate to experience ordinary life again—if only for a few weeks—he becomes “Adam”, just another tourist traveling through the Outback. But with a reward out for his safe return and his fame’s nasty habit of catching up with him when he least expects, he needs a better disguise… and he’s just found it.
 Sweet and scruffy British backpacker, Evie Blake, is taking a year out of her busy London life. Tired of lies and liars, she’s looking for adventure to heal her broken heart. So when the hot Canadian she meets at the campground offers to be her travel partner through Western Australia’s wild Kimberley region, she grabs the chance, unaware he’s got the world out looking for him.
  He’s just a down-on-his-luck traveler, right?
Image result for heart path
Okay, so with Contemporary Romance novels, there's generally a formula.  When I first started reading this one, I knew just after the awkward (but hot!) meet-cute just how things would roll along.  We'd have the initial meet, the need for a travel partner, the growing ever closer, the hidden identity creating unnecessary secrets (well, okay, HALF unnecessary), the moment the you-know-what hits the fan, the fallout, and HOPEFULLY the HEA.  The thing about it is even with the predictable nature of the general story layout, it's all about what the author does with everything that happens in between.  Are there surprises?  Do the characters feel real?  Can you magically transport yourself to the places and times they are to partake of their adventure?  Can you put yourself in one of their roles?  Are all the feels there?  In this case, the answers are SO yes!
I loved both Evie and Adam (as well as the play on Adam and Eve, both title and story wise!) well as many of their friends/family!  Evie lived with her whole heart, even after getting it stomped upon a time or two.  She just couldn't help it!  It wasn't in her to get THAT close to someone and not want the relationship to be more than simply passing.  Her desires and dreams, planned destinations and eventual rerouting of her destiny, all felt genuine, tangible, and real.  Even Adam with his grand escape, psycho relations (both business and personal), and lack of direction in his current hour of need, all reverberated with depth, strength of connection, and a desire to be more...even if he claimed to just go with the wind.  Together, they help rediscover the grandness in life, and rebuild their stricken hearts to uncover a chance to not only start again, but to LOVE again.
So take a chance on this Aussie basted romance this Valentine's Day and prepare to laugh, smile, and simmer (there are a few hot times that involve more than simply the sun, just sayin'!), as you get to know this potential couple in the making...
About the author...
Italian-born Giulia Skye spent her childhood watching classic Hollywood films and thinking up her own romantic stories. After two decades working in TV production, she knew turning those stories into novels would be much more enjoyable - and far cheaper – than turning them into films. She still keeps her hand in TV production but is at her happiest being a stay-at-home mum, spending time with her family, growing her own vegetables and conjuring up sizzling stories about sexy heroes meeting fiesty heroines who aren’t always as they at first appear. When Adam Met Evie is her first novel, Book 1 of her “Take a Holiday” series.
Carina Press BLOG TOUR starring... HOUSE RULES by Ruby Lang - EXCERPT!
Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Today, we're teaming up with Carina Press to bring you a stop along their current BLOG TOUR promotion featuring a recent BOOK BIRTHDAY celebrant!  That's right!  It's the latest from author Ruby Lang, and the third title in her Uptown series, but I've been totally reassured it reads just fine as a stand alone.  So, if you're ready to take a closer look at this delightful sounding read, HERE'S YOUR CHANCE!  Let's get to know it better than take a quick peek between the pages. Ready?  Set?  Let's go!
House Rules
Uptown series, Book 3
Ruby Lang
Carina Press
About the book...
ROOMMATE WANTED to share a gorgeous sun-filled apartment in Central Harlem. Must love cats. No ex-husbands or wives need apply.
 Seventeen years ago, different dreams pulled Simon Mizrahi and Lana Kai apart. But when Lana takes a position as a chef back in Manhattan, her apartment search puts her right in her ex-husband’s path. Music teacher Simon is also hunting for a new place to live, and when Lana proposes they be platonic roomies, well…it’s not the worst idea he’s ever heard.
A sunny uptown two-bedroom sounds far more appealing than the cramped, noisy space where he’s currently struggling to work. Still, Simon has seen firsthand that Lana’s a flight risk, so he agrees on a trial basis.
Three months. With strict boundaries.
 Living together again feels wonderfully nostalgic, but when the ex-couple’s lingering feelings rise to the surface, the rules go out the window.
 Of course, chemistry was never their problem. But while Simon’s career feels back on solid footing, Lana is still sorting out what she wants. With their trial period soon coming to an end, they’ll have to decide if their living arrangement was merely a sexy trip down memory lane or a reunion meant to last.
~~~ EXCERPT ~~~

She kissed him as they traveled uptown, under the too-bright lights of the rattling, rumbling 2 train, her hands stealing up past the thick collar of this coat, to his warm neck, to his hair.
We’re disgracing ourselves,” Simon murmured, even as he nipped her earlobe and his fingers found the zip of her jacket and pulled it down. “Making out on the train, like teenagers.”
He watched the progress of the zipper avidly, as if it would reveal more than her scarf, her sweater, more layers and layers of clothing, as if he could see down to her skin. Then he tipped his tongue up to catch her again in a lush kiss.
She pushed her breast, or the area of her clothing that covered it, shamelessly into his hand, and he gave a muffled gasp that only made her wilder. The train seat felt too smooth and unsatisfying against her restless thighs.
Every stop on the walk home was marked by where they paused to kiss, where Simon pushed her up against a wall, and she ground her hips against his. A car slowed once and honked while they were pressed on the brick beside a beauty salon. Its headlights illuminated their desperate bodies, causing Lana to bury her head in the front of Simon’s coat. Simon laughed softly, an edge of incredulity in the sound.
We should get back.”
They hurried now, swinging around the corner and down the block, through the gate and up, up the stairs, the thumping of their footsteps loud and urgent. Lana couldn’t help blushing at how impatient their running sounded. She and Simon burst in the door and into their dark hallway. Before the door fully closed, they’d fallen on each other, tripping in their haste to kick off shoes and unzip and unbutton each other, to unwind. It was as if they expected someone would stop them, someone wise and mature who’d tell them to think this through. But of course, they were the adults here, they were the ones in charge.
The fact that this was a bad idea only made Lana want it more.

RRR presents... SPARKY THE DRAGON BUS by Sue Wickstead - REVIEW!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're teaming up with Rachel's Random Resources for a stop along their current tour featuring a wonderful Children's Picture Book that has its roots in reality.  I know!  I was shocked too!  So, back your day bag and come along with me as we climb aboard this magical ride and discover today's ebook of choice...

Sparky the Dragon Bus
Sue Wickstead

About the book...

Sparky isn’t your typical double-decker bus.
Behind the dragon and magical paintings, she’s full of fun and adventures for all children.
Jump aboard to find out what makes Sparky so special.

AUTHOR SITE ORDERS (include free 3D bus template!)

This was a darling Children's Picture Book that not only captured my interest, but my heart as well.  I had no idea there was actually a bus very much like 'Sparky' that went around to areas where handy-capable children lived, allowing them the chance to play pretty much unencumbered by any limitations they may have on a normal day to day thanks to the special features of the bus!  I mean, what a wonderful idea and when translated from life to page, it still manages to bring a tear to your eye and a smile to your heart.  So that's a definite recommended read for the kiddos out there with the delightful story, feelings of empowerment, and wonderful illustrations....but also a great big green light for older readers as a reminder that good deeds can in fact be found in more than just the written word.

About author Sue Wickstead...

 I am an author and a teacher and have written six children’s picture books, all with a bus included somewhere.   Having been able to share my first book, 'Jay-Jay the Supersonic Bus', it was time to think about writing a book for younger readers.   While visiting a local school the children were writing stories about a journey, we read Jay-Jay’s book and then I remembered a book that I had written some years before and I read this to the class too, and they loved it.   The original story was based on a walk with my class around the neighbourhood of Bewbush, Crawley. The walk had led to map work and sequencing. Then together with the class I wrote an imaginative adventure.  The events we imagined were put into a class book. The book was shared with many classes and it was always a favourite.

 Now years later I decided it was time to update, improve and look at publishing the book.  There is indeed a walk around the district of Bewbush. and following the publication of the book I went back to see if and how the neighbourhood had changed.   ‘Oh, I see you have written a book without a bus!’ commented a friend.   But, look through the pages and you will see there always has to be a bus!  The neighbourhood of Bewbush was a new estate built in Crawley town in the 1970's. The area was built without any shops, school or safe places for children to play. It was an area of high need and was supported by a special playbus which offered a much-needed playgroup venue.  I also undertake events and author bookings and love to share my stories. There are also a few more stories in the writing process, with links to real events and buses.

Silver Dagger Book Tours presents... THE SENSES OF LOVE by Kyle Shoop - GIVEAWAY!

The Sound of Love
Senses of Love Book 1
by Kyle Shoop
Genre: Contemporary Romance

Words than can't be spoken can still be sung.

Sometimes the most beautiful relationships between two individuals blossom from moments of tragedy.

Charlotte and John grew up as young orphans in the secluded outskirts of a rural town. Each day, they’d sneak out to the nearby forest to escape the cold grasp of the orphanage’s tyrant-ruler, by creating an imaginary kingdom together. However, their worlds, and the safety that came from their friendship, were suddenly ripped apart when they got caught.

Years later, Charlotte conquered the marketing world in downtown Portland. Having gained normalcy in her life since her days in the orphanage, Charlotte never expected her world to be turned upside down by John abruptly being thrust back into her life.

However, the years since the orphanage had not at all been kind to John, leaving him unable to open up to Charlotte about the details. So, she reignites John’s love for playing music, finding that his songwriting is the only way to help him express what he otherwise has difficulty saying. But in doing so, the reunited couple discovers that John’s love for music may not have been the only fire waiting to be rekindled.

Would what began as two children playing in the woods in the heart of tragedy blossom into long-awaited, and much desired, love?

The Sight of Love
Senses of Love Book 2

Does love at first sight exist when love is blind?

Ethan was born to paint. His pursuit of beauty and meaning through art was the only thing his heart desired above all else. Until he met Rose.

It was love at first sight. A love which was as inspiring and captivating as the delicate life which radiated from a fresh rose. Her sight intoxicating. Her personality angelic. Her love instantaneous and unselfish.

But was that love enough to last a lifetime? Art often requires sacrifice. But Ethan’s life wasn’t just full of sacrifice for his passion, it would become marked with significant loss. An unforeseeable loss beyond his control and undercutting all which he sought in life.

Each moment of life is just a brush stroke in a larger painting. Would the love between Ethan and Rose be just the first brush stroke, or instead the reason to keep painting?

Experience the second book in the compelling “Senses of Love” series.
