Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining Rachel's Random Resources and a slew of fabulous other blogs for a COVER REVEAL! It features a work with a title that conjures so many lovely Spring/Summer images that falls into the Chick-Lit/Romance genre from an author whose name you know and whose covers you certainly recognize! So, ready or not, fair readers...feast your eyes on today's big reveal...

The Cottage on Wildflower Lane
Liz Davies
RELEASE DATE:  02/14/20

About the book...
Esther's life isn’t perfect (whose is?) – but she’s happy enough living in her little flat with her boyfriend, Josh.

 But that’s about to change.

Bored out of her mind in work, she wishes that something, anything, would happen to liven her life up.

Unfortunately, her wish comes true when Josh calls her from the airport to tell her he’s going to work in a bar in Spain, and she’s not invited, Esther is devastated, and her unhappiness is compounded when she discovers she can actually view the bar via a webcam link and watch him chatting up other girls.

 But when she inadvertently clicks on a link to another webcam which shows a pretty cottage and the rather hunky man who lives in it, her interest is piqued and she wishes she could get to know him.

Wishes don’t really come true, though – do they...?

About the author...

Liz Davies writes feel-good, light-hearted stories with a hefty dose of romance, a smattering of humour, and a great deal of love.

She’s married to her best friend, has one grown-up daughter, and when she isn’t scribbling away in the notepad she carries with her everywhere (just in case inspiration strikes), you’ll find her searching for that perfect pair of shoes. She loves to cook but isn’t very good at it, and loves to eat - she’s much better at that! Liz also enjoys walking (preferably on the flat), cycling (also on the flat), and lots of sitting around in the garden on warm, sunny days.

She currently lives with her family in Wales, but would ideally love to buy a camper van and travel the world in it.

Special thanks to Rachel at Rachel's Random Resources for the chance to bring this reveal to you. (THANKS!) For more information on this title, the author, this promotion, or those on the horizon, feel free to click through the links provided above.

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're celebrating the BOOK BIRTHDAY of the latest addition to the WILDSTONE series from author Jill Shalvis via William Morrow!  It's a Contemporary Romance that you SERIOUSLY do not want to miss, whether or not you've indulged in the previous releases because it DOES work as a standalone.  Anywho, before I tout the AWESOMENESS that is this book, let me introduce it properly.  Make way for the birthday book...

Wildstone series, Book 4
Jill Shalvis

William Morrow

About the book...
New York Times bestselling author Jill Shalvis returns to Wildstone with the touching story of finding your place in the world—and the people who make it home.
Piper Manning’s about as tough as they come, she’s had to be. She raised her siblings and they’ve thankfully flown the coop. All she has to do is finish fixing up the lake house her grandparents left her, sell it, and then she’s free.

When a massive storm hits, she runs into a tall, dark and brooding stranger, Camden Reid. There’s a spark there, one that shocks her. Surprising her further, her sister and brother return, each of them holding their own secrets. The smart move would be for Piper to ignore them all but Cam unleashes emotions deep inside of her that she can’t deny, making her yearn for something she doesn’t understand. And her siblings…well, they need each other.

Only when the secrets come out, it changes everything Piper thinks she knows about her family, herself…and Cam. Can she find a way to outrun the demons? The answer is closer than she thinks—just as the new life she craves may have already begun.

Score another winning release for author Jill Shalvis!

Honestly, I've adored pretty much everything I've read from this author so far and ALMOST JUST FRIENDS was definitely one of my top picks. I literally wanted to crawl inside the pages and stay for a while because let's face it, life can be so LIFE sometimes and this was just SO much better than the alternative!

The lead characters were each amazing in their own way, and the atmosphere itself was charged with the sparkage between Piper and Cam. The supporting characters each have their own semi-feature roles to play as well (another bonus for this author's writing...she doesn't introduce many people JUST to have them on the sidelines!). I love the relationships she built, what with the sibling love-you-but-sometimes-want-to-strangle-you-but-will-always-support-you bits, the deeply felt loss for the brother/friend no longer with them shown from all sides and possible relationship angles, the oh-so-strong self resilience of each sibling from both families, and of course the romantic entanglements that get (at times) very much entangled. *giggle*

All in all, a great addition to the Wildstone series and a title that I definitely recommend for my fellow Contemporary Romance fans!

RRR presents... ROCKS AND FLOWERS IN A BOX by Cynthia Hilston!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining ranks with Rachel's Random Resources for a stop along their current tour featuring the second release in the Lorna and Tristan series from author Cynthia Hilston.  From the sound of things, it's a work of historical fiction with more than one surprise in store that could upturn oh so many lives.  Ready or not, here comes today's title in the spotlight...

Rocks and Flowers in a Box
Lorna and Tristan series, Book 2
Cynthia Hilston

About the book....
The wedding bells for Lorna and Tristan Blake toll doom right as the honeymoon begins with an unexpected turn in Tristan’s health. While World War II winds down, Lorna receives a letter from the War Department informing her that the brother she thought killed in action is still alive. She is overjoyed, but his return will dredge up a devastating secret about their parents’ tragic death –a secret that could destroy her new marriage and threaten her husband’s physical and mental well-being. What unfolds is balancing act of keeping the faith and shattering the pieces of the life she’s worked so hard to put back together.

~~~ EXCERPT ~~~
(Chapter 4 - Context: After her husband, Tristan, threw an old address book away because he wants nothing to do with his family, Lorna sneaks out after he’s gone to bed to retrieve it.)
I sat in my dad’s old armchair as the clock struck midnight that evening. Tristan went to bed hours ago, his snores traveling from our bedroom into the living room. I fiddled with my brother’s dog tag, the chain smooth from everyday wear. Nearly a year had passed since I’d received the awful news of Chucky’s death in Tunisia. I smiled ruefully, kissed the dog tag, and placed the chain around my neck.
 In the months that followed his death, I’d received his belongings in the mail, followed by his Purple Heart and his life insurance policy. The money had meant little to me, a meager replacement that would never fill the void left by the loss of my last family member. I’d opened an account at the local bank and left the money, in the hopes of one day giving it to my children, telling them it was from their uncle, a man they would have loved as much as I had.
 One brother. That was all I’d had. Tristan had at least two brothers still living and likely sisters as well. Tristan’s siblings were probably scattered around the country. Do they have children? Does Tristan know or care if he’s an uncle?
 I shook my head. What was the matter with me? I was meddling in things best left alone, but as I stood and slid into some shoes to step outside, something prodded me to keep moving. In the black of night, I glanced around, as if I were a thief sneaking about and hoping not to get caught. No movement came from my house, so I continued to Tristan’s house, all the way to the back yard. The stones crunched underfoot as I approached the trash cans.
 “If I were smart, I would’ve brought a flashlight,” I muttered.
 The closest can was piled to the brim. With only the moonlight as my guide, I scanned the contents. My eyes fell on a black book. It was almost too easy as I grabbed it. I returned to the house and sat at the kitchen table with the light on over the sink. The book weighed heavy in my hands like I was hoarding an illegal substance. I opened it. On the inner cover, a name and address written in thick, loopy letters stared back at me: Stephen Richardson, 145 Stephens St., Cleveland, OH. I ran my fingers over the words. Tristan’s original name, before the accident. I read more pages. After a few minutes, I yawned, my eyesight going blurry. I stood and tucked the book into the back of the ironing board cupboard. The last thing Tristan ever did was the ironing.
 I joined my husband in bed a minute later. As I pulled the sheet up to my chin, the warmth emanating from his body almost burned me.
Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Today, we're shining the BOOK BIRTHDAY spotlight on the latest addition to the Mile High Happiness series from author Mariah Ankenman.  If you've not read the first, don't worry...I haven't either and it worked out just fine...better than fine...PERFECT actually.  *ahem*  Anyway, so yes, this title is out today via Lovestruck (Entangled Publishing) and if you're looking for your next Contemporary Romance with a definite dose of heat, you've found your next MUST READ!  Ready, set, let's get down to it as we get you more acquainted with today's ebook of choice....
The Best Man Problem
Mile High Happiness, Book 2
About the book...
Lilly Walsh is used to keeping things buttoned-up and aboveboard. After all, the last time she hooked up with someone in a wedding party, it nearly cost her her wedding planning business. Thankfully, those rules don’t apply when she meets a handsome stranger in a hotel bar. One bad pirate joke leads to the best night of her life, but come morning, she’s got a wedding to plan.
Lincoln Reid never imagined he’d see the woman who rocked his world last night and then ran out on him ever again. But there she is, planning his best friend’s wedding with the same passion and drive that brought him to his knees. She’s adamant that wedding planner and best man can never mix, but that just means he’s got four weeks to make her see him as more than just a one-night guy. Because he’s itching for more than one night...or five, or ten...
Can one night turn into forever?
Not if these two have anything to say about it...
...but then again, the heart wants what it wants.
One of a string of recent Entangled Publishing reads I've completed and yet another to add to the stack of OMG-THIS-WAS-SO-GOOD!  Grant it, this one has a bit more spice than the last one, but I can't say anything else even slightly negative about it.
I adored the lead characters and their interfering (but with so much love!) friends.  Getting to know them only made the connection for both them and us stronger.  Their time together before the wedding party was definitely a night to remember, but the wattage of sparks flying when they were in the same room (or even thinking about each other!) was electrifying!  True, I wanted to let Mo make those "special brownies" for Lincoln (such a good friend, as is Pru!) with his reaction to something in particular, but...although I don't agree with said reaction, I get where he was coming from, and I think the way Lilly handled it showed so much strength, so much growth that though stinging at the time, it was totally worth it.
Definitely a series I'm glad I came to and one I will be checking into its first release post haste!  Reading recommendation for ADULT readers of Contemporary Romance due to some content.
Will you be mine? - A VALENTINE PROPOSAL by Viv Royce - REVIEW!
Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.
Today, we're shining the bookish spotlight on another Entangled Publishing title that hit virtual shelves this past Tuesday (01/13/20) and is so good, it simply can't be contained.  If you're looking for a clean Contemporary Romance to call yours for the upcoming February holiday (or any day for that matter!), this is one you DON'T want to MISS!  Ready, set, let's read all about today's ebook of choice...
Little Shops on Heart Street series, Book 2
Viv Royce
Entangled Publishing/Bliss
About the book...
Just as free-spirited bookstore employee Cleo Davis faces closure of her beloved shop, the owner informs her it will continue as part of the successful Stephens chain. When the chain's risk assessor, the very reserved, very attractive Mark Stephens, enters the store to look over her business plan, Cleo clashes with him right away. Oil and water have nothing on them.
Mark has always followed the rules. But the minute he steps into vibrant and spunky Cleo’s store, he knows he’s in trouble. One moment he’s in her “craft corner” painting bookends with kids, the next in a bidding war with Cleo at a charity auction. He can't deny that opposites attract, and Cleo’s vivacious personality has him rethinking his life in more ways than one.
But when Cleo’s store officially becomes part of the bookstore chain, Mark will become her boss…and completely off limits.
Be still my bookish heart!
This story had all the love, all the unexpected romance, all the bookish joy readers long for and more.  From an adorable meet-cute (picture a bear rescue involving a book castle with a damsel not so much in distress as she in need of assistance and a somewhat unwilling knight in shiny armor happening upon the scene!) to several near misses, smile inducing bonding (where you totally know they are meant to be) to a big fat question mark of if they will actually end up together (not spoiling it...sorry, not sorry!), it's a Contemporary Romance written for the bookish heart in you, and what's more, it's part of a series that sounds rather heart warming too!
I adored (maybe identified with as well) Cleo for her heart, her warmth, her determination, and her spark.  She knew books were more than simply books, and a bookshop was more than a place to house, showcase, and sell them.  It's a place to build community, a place to make connections and lifelong friendships, a place to celebrate the bookish word as much as the thoughts, feelings, and discussions they spark.  It's a living, breathing "being" as much as a place can be all of those things, and the people that run them play just as much an integral part of the equation.  My heart was with her every step of the way as she fought to find a balance between what she wanted for her future while keeping in mind the good of the current shop owner, and the community at large.  As for our reluctant love interest... Mark was definitely a work in progress, but he had good bones as they say.  He knew in his heart of hearts, buried under all that business mumbo jumbo, that what Cleo had was something special...and I'm not just talking about her business sense.  Yes, she made valid cases for the way they did things, and helped shed light on the "why" behind small town bookshops existences, but she also unknowingly opened his eyes to the beauty around him, helped him recapture the joy he had lost, and aided him in rebuilding his inner foundation in such a way that he could essentially have his cake and eat it too.  Whether or not he'd have a partner for sharing that said cake'll only know if you read it!
In the end, a TOTAL MUST READ, and a series that I might just have to backtrack and check out the first installment.  If you like clean romance with oh-so-much heart and book love to spare, this is definitely the book for you.
A Date With a Vampire
Love Bites, Paranormal Dating Agency Book 1
by Abbey MacMunn
Genre: Paranormal Romance
You are cordially invited to join Love Bites, Paranormal Dating Agency. Where fur, fangs, feathers, and the occasional human, meet their match.
Witch Harper Clarke is pretty sure misfortune follows her around like a bad smell. Her spells end in disaster, her dating agency for supernaturals has an embarrassing lack of clients, and her love life is a washout. So when a vampire signs up to the agency and she can’t find him a match, she agrees to date the vamp herself.
Charmer Damon Vertefeuille has it all; power, status, wealth, but becoming a vampire to get his errant brother out of trouble isn’t what he expected. Newbie vamps aren’t supposed to be dangerous, but one look at his witchy date and he has a sudden desire to sink his fangs into her neck.
Thing is, she wants his bite.
Chemistry sizzles, but when Damon’s brother threatens to tear them apart, the lines blur between loyalty, love and dark desires.
Does my bum look big in this?” Harper Clarke twisted her torso, casting a critical eye over her appearance in her bedroom mirror.
You look fantastic,” said Zarya. “Stunning, in fact.”
Coming from Zarya, who had no trouble getting any man she desired with a mere flutter of her eyelashes, and that haunting siren’s song of hers, was indeed a compliment of great magnitude, but Harper still wasn’t convinced. “This is supposed to be my lucky black dress, but I don’t remember it being this tight the last time I wore it.”
Lucky? That would be a first for you,” her friend jibed. Then she choked on her drink.
Yeah, okay, so I’m not the luckiest of witches, but I can live in hope, can’t I?” She grabbed a cushion off her bed and threw it at her. “I thought best friends were supposed to be supportive.”
Zarya fended off the cushion assault with her arm. “I am. I said you look stunning, and you do.”
Harper drained her glass of prosecco. “Thanks.”
You’re welcome. So, who are you going on a date with? A Fae? An angel?” Her eyes widened like an excited child. “Ooh, a werewolf, maybe? I’m a sucker for an alpha male. Does he have a friend?”
No, he’s not a werewolf, he’s a vampire.”
A vamp? Are you mad?”
No, I’m not mad. His paperwork says he only turned four months ago, which means he won’t be dangerous.”
What paperwork? Wait…” It didn’t take her long to suss it out. “Oh my God, he’s a client from your dating agency, isn’t he?”
Bingo. Harper might have known she couldn’t keep a secret from her friend for long.
No… yes. He might be.” She glanced at Zarya, noting her disapproval. “Don’t pull that face at me. I know it’s not exactly professional, but I haven’t been on a date in goodness knows how long, and he sounded so charming on the phone, and not at all ‘Vlad the Impaler—”
Wait, you arranged a blind date with a vampire?” she interrupted. “What if he is dangerous, or worse, ugly?”
Vampires are never ugly, everyone knows that.”
Abbey MacMunn writes paranormal and fantasy romance. She lives in Hampshire, UK, with her husband and their four children.
When she’s not writing, she likes to watch films and TV shows – anything from rom-coms to superheroes to science fiction movies.
