Good morning (or whatever time it is where you are), everyone!
Welcome to another installment of Taste Testing Tuesdays!
Taste Testing Tuesdays was inspired by 'Teaser Tuesdays', a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading.
On the menu this week ... one book that I'm almost finished with (sorry, promise it won't linger for next week), another that I'm itching to start, but have been held captive from (don't ask, but will be starting soon) and a third...well, I actually finished this one over the weekend on a quick break, but really wanted to share a line or two (it's really fun).
Shall we have a taste?
Shall we have a taste?
A swarm of yugs detached themselves from the distant jumble of rocks, the low sun flashing bloddily on the tips of their javelins. Feriously they set upon the humans, who did not run or even try to defend themselves. -- pg 214, The Winnitok Tales: The Hunt for the Eye of Ogin by Patrick Doud (ARC)
"That reminds me of this quote I recently heard. Hold on...let me look..." Owen paused and I could hear him clicking at his laptop. "Here it is. 'Whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.' By some guy named Max Ehrmann. I think it's supposed to mean that even though things suck right now, it's all going to be okay in the end." -- pg 129, Tangled by Carolyn Mackler
I drew a chalky Principal Baloney and a wrinkled-elephanty Mrs. Tusk in the windows. Then I wrote all sorts of funny words all over the playground, like POP-TART and CHICKEN NOODLE and HORRIBLE and GRADE 4 FARM. -- pg 68-69, Noonie's Masterpiece by Lisa Railsback

Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
*Grab your current read
*Open to a random page
*Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (Make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
*Share the title & author, too, so that other participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!

Until next time....happy reading!

I <3 the middle one :)
I agree with JuJu! I really want to read that one...it looks so fun!
LOL. Yes, the middle one quote wise is good, can't wait to delve into it. Oh, and UPDATE on book 1 there...FINISHED! YAY! ~happy dance~
I keep hearing good things about Tangled
The quote from "noonie's masterpiece" is hilarious. I would seriously love to read this book. A good laugh and humor always brightens the day.

Cleverly Inked: I can see why....just started in on it last night for a little while, and I'm already 80 pages in!
Barb: Agreed! It was a fun read for certain! Review to come soon...
2nd & 3rd get my vote. Number one...nope. :)
Um...not sure I can quote from my current book because it's unpublished. So here's a quote from the next book I'm reading:
Spartan Gold by Clive Cussler and Grant Blackwood
p.g 103 "Which means we may have some spelunking in our future," Sam replied.
No idea what spelunking is yet!
Nayuleska: *SMILE* Liked the quote...I had a cat once that did something akin to spelunking....she would lay on her side and use her paws/claws to crawl around the bottom edge of the couch. Funny, cute...and at times creepy if you weren't expecting her. ^_^
