Speaking of mistletoe...
...an annual town event featuring this holiday kissing staple created quite the opening number for our leading lady... and not in any of the ways she would have hoped! Her crush was crushed, metaphorically and emotionally (though that didn't last long because he's an absolute a**hat!). Her immediate hopes and dreams, smashed like so many candy canes for a round of hot cocoa. Her ire was raised as was the watch count on her five minutes of fame...because who can resist a proverbial train wreck especially when it's someone else's and not their own... and to top it all off, she requires a trip to the hospital too, leaving her with physical mementos of a time she wished she could forget. Yes, Franca was having a less than ideal start to the holiday season, and with the uphill battle to keep her shop open into the new year, she definitely didn't need any new challenges... like a change in heart over a certain snow globe maker whose business is also on the chopping block. Tis the season for goodwill toward men, but here's going our gal can pull a Christmas miracle of her own!
Ah yes.
