About the book...
When Samantha relaxes into her new role as a dog mom, finds a circle of friends in her new hometown, and sees her new dog bakery Canine Confections barking up business, she’s thrilled that things are going so well … until she hears a bloodcurdling scream from the pastry shop two doors down and runs over to find a dead body on the floor.

Suddenly Samantha finds herself in a race against time to find not only the thief who is stealing from the upscale shops, but a murderer, too. Samantha’s Lab-Mix Sweet Pea wags her tail through all of the clues, suspects and shenanigans. Both Samantha and Sweet Pea are aided in their amateur investigation by the other shopkeepers on the elegant Worth Avenue, and Samantha finds the suspect list growing at every turn.

To make matters worse, Samantha’s old boyfriend arrives in town, and mysterious people start showing up at the Sophisticated Pet and New Age stores nearby. Samantha soon finds that things are not what they seem, and she must figure out what’s going on—or become the next dead body on a bakery floor.

2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup applesauce unsweetened
2 tablespoons honey

...FOR THE FROSTING

I am so happy to share one of my favorite cookie recipes. I wrote a cookbook for my family to preserve several generations of our favorite family recipes. I usually make the cookies at night and wake up to this great fragrance throughout the house. You mix them up, pop in the oven, turn off the oven and leave them until morning. Enjoy.

RRR SPOTLIGHT: Cookucina: A Recipe for Disaster by Stephen Phelps - RECIPE + GIVEAWAY!

HI there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

A Recipe For Disaster Blog Tour Banner

Today, we're joining a Rachel's Random Resources blog tour already in progress starring a unique and TASTY combination to satisfy the reader and eater in you!  It's a work that takes the idea of a cookbook a few steps further as those recipes are mashed together with a travelogue and ultimately serve as the piece de resistance companion to the TV series Cookucina!  Pretty nifty, right?  Right!  So, let's get to the spotlight and take it from there, shall we?  Ready, set, READ!

Cookucina:  A Recipe for Disaster
by
Stephen Phelps

A Recipe for Disaster is a cookbook, a travelogue and the companion to Cookucina, a six-part TV series available on Amazon Video, iTunes and Google Play - see www.cookucina.com .

It's also the entertaining journey of an Englishman struggling with the ups and downs of living in rural Italy. After giving up a successful career in television, Stephen found himself dragged back into a world he had happily given up when his neighbour, Lia, persuaded him to listen to her Big Idea – making a TV cookery series. But Lia speaks no English.

And Stephen’s partner, Tam, can't cook. So, much against Stephen's better judgement, the three of them embarked on a six-part series set among the rolling hills of the little-known, but spectacularly beautiful, Italian region of Le Marche. In the Cookucina TV series Lia teaches Tam to cook alla Marchigiana, while Tam translates. A Recipe for Disaster follows their many encounters with the real Italy – a world away from the picture-book ideal of summer holidays in Tuscany.

As the team try to construct a professional series with no funding they come to rely on the generosity of the Marchigiana people, while attempting to overcome the constant difficulties thrown up by those whose stubborn adherence to their age-old way of life is rooted in their beloved fields and woods. A Recipe for Disaster is a goldmine of simple yet delicious recipes, while peeling back the veneer of television professionalism and opening the door to a world of Italian surprise and delight.

A Recipe for Disaster comes with unique access to Cookucina, the final six-part TV series, so you can see for yourself how the team cracked their problems and (just about) held it all together in a blistering heatwave. Experience this contradictory world of vendettas and kind hearts through the laughter and frustrations of Stephen and the team, as you follow A Recipe for Disaster slowly coming to its surprising fruition.

Bon Appétit and a Book starring Her Sweetest Fortune by Stella Bagwell

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Here's hoping you had a splendid Valentine's Day yesterday, and everything came up roses (get it?  Roses...because that's the typical V-Day gift?  ^_^).  Just because the holiday has passed doesn't mean that we stop celebrating the LOVE, I mean because really, with book there is more than enough to go around.

Speaking of which, today we are taking part in a Meryl L. Moss Media and Harlequin Books BLOG TOUR highlighting a few titles from their epic selection of books that should be on your reading radar this month.  For my part, I selected a work by author Stella Bagwell that I might just have to add to my own reading rotation because it just sounds like a lot of fun...and a little something extra for the taste buds.  First things first though, BRING ON THE BOOK!

Now Mason's in a real bind! He has just a few short weeks to fight his way out of the "friend zone." On his agenda: convincing sweet Sophie that he is the real man of her dreams! Will Fortune smile on true love's venture?

Well, now to add that little something extra I mentioned.
