Chapter by Chapter BLOG TOURS presents... Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy - INTERVIEW + GIVEAWAY!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining Chapter by Chapter Blog Tours to celebrate the release of a new Young Adult title via Entangled Teen.  From the sound of things, it's pretty harrowing, emphasis on BOTH words there, and as the body count rises, secrets are bound to start spilling.  I wonder what they REALLY have to hide?  So, if you're looking for your next read, take a gander at this beauty...

by
Monica Murphy
Entangled Teen

About the book
Beautiful. Perfect. Dead.

In the peaceful seaside town of Cape Bonita, wicked secrets and lies are hidden just beneath the surface. But all it takes is one tragedy for them to be exposed.

The most popular girls in school are turning up dead, and Penelope Malone is terrified she's next. All the victims so far have been linked to Penelope—and to a boy from her physics class. The one she's never really noticed before, with the rumored dark past and a brooding stare that cuts right through her.

There's something he isn't telling her. But there's something she's not telling him, either.

Everyone has secrets, and theirs might get them killed.

Sounds good, right?
I thought so too...but I was curious.  I mean, why Penelope?  Why was she the final girl (in a sense)?  Why does she believe she's next?  So, I thought...why not ask?  For your reading pleasure, MY INTERVIEW with our leading lady, Penelope Malone!

CHARACTER INTERVIEW:  Penelope Malone
...from Pretty Dead Girls by Monica Murphy

1) Alright Penelope, why do you think this killer is out to get you?

It’s clear the killer is targeting the most popular girls at my school. Plus, the girls are all seniors. I’m popular. I’m a senior. It’s kind of a no brainer that I’m a target. I have enemies, so I guess I shouldn’t be surprised.

2) What do you really see in this physics kid, and for the love of Pete, what's his name? I mean, you say you're reluctantly working with him, but I don't know... to quote a famous teapot "perhaps there's something there that wasn't there before"...

Cass? Oh, at first I didn’t notice him at all, and I think he preferred it that way. But once I started spending time with him, I realized quick he’s smart. And he’s actually very attractive. He’s mysterious, and I can’t help but be drawn to all those secrets he carries so close. He’s super intriguing, but he also drives me crazy. Maybe I am crazy for wanting to spend time with him, you know?

3) Tell the truth. Of those that went before you (you, know in case you ARE next), who will you miss the least?

I don’t want to give any secrets away! I will miss everyone we lost, some more than others. And that’s all I can say about that.

4) While we're on that topic, who will you miss the most?

One of them is a close friend, but I’m revealing nothing. Sorry. *zips lips*

5) Our time is coming to an end (or rather YOURS might be), but before we go, if you do make it through this nightmare, what are your plans for the future?

Graduate high school and get out of Cape Bonita. This town is scary right now. I want out of here!

RRR SPOTLIGHT ON... A Little Christmas Faith by Kathyrn Freeman + SPECIAL GUEST POST!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're joining Rachel's Random Resources for a blog tour extravaganza featuring a holiday tinged title that is sure to get you in the spirit of the season...because really, don't we all just need a little Christmas, right now?  ^-^  So, break out the jingle bells, put on your favorite "ugly" Christmas sweater (although in all honesty, I think they're pretty cute...most of them anyway!), and prepare to add another title to your must read list this holiday season.  Today's spotlight falls on...

A Little Christmas Faith
by
Kathryn Freeman

About the book...
Is it time to love Christmas again?

Faith Watkins loves Christmas, which is why she’s thrilled that her new hotel in the Lake District will be open in time for the festive season. And Faith has gone all out; huge Christmas tree, fairy lights, an entire family of decorative reindeer. Now all she needs are the guests …

But what she didn’t bank on was her first paying customer being someone like Adam Hunter. Rugged, powerfully built and with a deep sadness in his eyes, Adam is a man that Faith is immediately drawn to – but unfortunately he also has an intense hatred of all things Christmassy.
As the countdown to the big day begins, Faith can’t seem to keep away from her mysterious guest, but still finds herself with more questions than answers: just what happened to Adam Hunter? And why does he hate Christmas?

Interview with Faith Watkins by Kathryn Freeman

Thank you so much for hosting me on your blog today. To celebrate the publication of my latest book, A Little Christmas Faith, I’d like to share with you an interview with one of the main characters, Faith Watkins. She’s just opened a new hotel in the Lake District and is being asked about it on local radio.

Would you mind telling us a little about your new hotel?

Faith: Would I mind? Try and stop me talking about it. The Old Mill Hotel is what I like to call a boutique hotel. It’s small but perfectly formed. It has fourteen bedrooms, a function room, a gym and a restaurant run by two amazing Italian brothers who make the most delicious pasta, which isn’t helping my waistline.

I understand the official opening is today. When do your first guests arrive?

Faith: I have my parents staying tonight – my guinea pigs, but don’t tell them that. We’re looking forward to welcoming our first guest tomorrow. He’ll be staying in one of our suites. I hope he likes it, because he’s booked in for two weeks. What am I saying, of course he’ll like it.

You’re opening just in time for Christmas. Was that deliberate?

Faith: We’d planned to open a few months ago, but then we had building delays. Still, nobody could be more excited than me that The Old Mill Hotel is opening at my favourite time of year. It’s meant I’ve been able to go crazy on the Christmas decorations. You should see the size of the tree in the hall. Oh and I found this gorgeous reindeer family in the sales last year. I couldn’t resist. I’m a bit of a sucker for bargain, especially if it’s to do with Christmas.

It sounds like the ideal place to stay for those who love Christmas.

Faith: Thank you, I like to think so. We can offer guests a roaring open fire, the scent of fresh pine from the tree, an abundance of decorations and delicious festive food. All against the beautiful backdrop of the Lake district. Of course I’m ridiculously biased, but I think it’s the perfect place for Christmas lovers to come and enjoy Christmas.

About the author...

I was born in Wallingford but have spent most of my life living in a village outside Windsor. A former pharmacist, I’m now a medical writer who also loves to write romance. Some days a racing heart is a medical condition, others it’s the reaction to a hunky hero…

I’ve two teenage boys and a husband who asks every Valentine’s Day whether he has to bother buying a card again this year (yes, he does) so the romance in my life is all in my head. Then again, my husband’s unstinting support of my career change goes to prove that love isn't always about hearts and flowers - and heroes can come in many disguises.

PYR BLOG TOUR: Snappsy the Alligator and His Best Friend Forever (Probably) by Julie Falatko - CHARACTER INTERVIEW!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

You've joined us on a special day indeed because RIGHT NOW, Penguin Young Readers is swinging by with none other than, the one, the AMAZING, the only....SNAPPSY, in his latest adventure, and from the sound of things, he's not any happier about it this time around as he was about the party last time around.  Let's take a peek, shall we?

About the book...
Now, these two rising picture book stars return with SNAPPSY THE ALLIGATOR AND HIS BEST FRIEND FOREVER (PROBABLY), on sale October 3, 2017, in which Snappsy reprises his role as a disgruntled protagonist. In their latest adventure, Snappsy and his loyal narrator discover the trials and error of friendship. You see, all Snappsy wants is a quiet evening to himself, but this pesky chicken (who insists he’s Snappsy’s best friend) won’t leave him alone. Friendship bracelets? Matching shirts? The sleepover of the century? Snappsy did not ask for any of this, but he might just be surprised at how nice it can be to have a friend.

With humor and sympathy, this giggle-inducing readaloud illuminates a situation we have all faced at some point—how sometimes, when we want a best friend so badly, we can come on too strong and overstep boundaries—as well as how magical it can feel when we get friendship right. Packed with silly, mischievous fun, kids won’t be able to hold back the laughs when reading this hilarious, pitch-perfect sequel to one of the funniest books of 2016.

Sounds like fun, right?!
Oh trust me, it was...and I'm not even here to really TELL you about my experience through the pages.  Nope.  That's not my purpose here today...though if you REALLY wanted to know, I'd have to say in the grand scheme of things, it rocked.  I mean, how could it not?  It's got our main reptilian dude and his best buddy (maybe) and...okay, hang on, I'm getting ahead of myself and that's not why we're here.

Today, we're here to not simply talk ABOUT Snappsy, but to talk WITH Snappsy!  That's right!  I was granted a very special interview with the green guy himself, and I asked the tough questions.  So, if you're ready, let's meet our scaly friend, shall we?  Put your paws, claws, and hands together with a warm welcome for our cold-blooded friend, SNAPPSY!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
CHARACTER INTERVIEW:
Snappsy
Image result for snappsyHey there, Snappsy! What's shaking.... besides you at the idea of a BEST FRIEND FOREVER...what gives?  Why are you opposed to having a best friend?
It’s not that I’m against having a best friend. I just like my quiet mornings. And suddenly there’s this chicken in my house trying to make me porridge.
Let's assume that the chicken is telling the truth and you will in fact be BEST FRIENDS FOREVER.  How do you think you'd celebrate the occasion and will we be invited?
Well, he keeps going on about all the things best friends do. He says we’ll have a dance party. He says we’ll sing karaoke and have a sleepover. Can’t best friends read quietly in different rooms? I think that’s what best friends should do.
Image result for smoothies
I get it, I get it...you like your alone time.  So, what exactly do you DO with your alone time?  Hobbies, interests...anything?
Lately I’ve been getting into smoothies. They’re pretty great, smoothies. And I’ve been thinking of taking up painting. Quiet, contemplative, painting. In fact, if you’ll excuse me, I’d like to go do that right now.
What's that?  You want to end the interview?  Oh come now, these are your FANS reading this, and we all want to be your BEST FRIEND FOREVER...though I doubt you'd be able to wear that many necklaces or bracelets because you've got quite the following.  How have you been holding up with all the fandoms out there?  Any paparazzi moments you are to share?
I will say this for that chicken: he’s kind of like a bodyguard. Once a whole line of critters almost bonked into me, and he blocked them. He fields most of the press and interviews for me. Uh, except this one.
Image result for snowed inAlright, alright.  One last (lengthy) question, and I'll be out of your hair...or um, scales.  I say FAVORITE...you say the first thing that comes to mind.  Ready?  Favorite....
...color? A nice muted green.
...sound? The echoing plink plink of playing a xylophone in an empty concert hall.
...season? Winter is nice because if it snows a lot, it’s harder for people to show up at your door unannounced.
...food? Pretzels! Though I’m beginning to like pizza more.
...place to go? I do love the Super-Duper Mart! They have everything in that place.
...FRIEND to see? If I have to see a friend, I’ll see the one who is always hanging out in my house anyway. From the kitchen to the living room to the BATHROOM, there he is. I might even be getting used to him.
