RRR presents... THE LOVE ISLAND BOOKSHOP by Kate Frost - REVIEW!

Hi there!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we’ve teamed up with Rachel’s Random Resources for a stop along her current promotion featuring a Romantic Escape novel you’ll be hard pressed to ignore. So, if you’re ready for your next bookish vacation all from the comfy reading corner you call your own, take note! Today’s ebook of choice and blog tour guest is...

The Love Island Bookshop

About the book...
A dream job, two handsome men, one destructive act. Will Freya’s opportunity of a lifetime end in tears?

When Freya leaves her publishing job in London to be a barefoot bookseller in the Maldives, it’s the push she needs to move on from her sadness and reignite her passion for life.

While resort owner Zander is charming, it’s handsome dive instructor Aaron who befriends her when she needs it most. But all is not what it seems and there’s trouble brewing in paradise.

Taking a chance on happiness is harder than she imagined. Can Freya let go of her heartache and allow herself to fall in love again?

From the gorgeous cover to the beautiful setting, the memorable characters to the jaw dropping plot twist, this is one Romance and Contemporary Fiction readers won’t want to miss.

I felt for Freya, truly I did...and then I was jealous because HELLO! A job as a barefoot BOOKSELLER in the Maldives on a private resort island?! I don’t think I could pack my bags fast enough! But seriously, while it is paradise she’ll be working in, work IS work, and when you’re travelling OH SO FAR AWAY from everything and everyone you know, even if it IS suppose to be a fresh start, it can be scary. Grant it, the fast friends she makes definitely help lighten the load, as do the affections she receives from not one but two men newly landed in her life...but what does she really know about either of them? I mean, she came her to close the door on her past, and find her footing. She wants to be taken seriously, and make her mark on the world. Being viewed as beautiful is all well and good, but she wants to be desired for who she is not simply what she looks like. I had my concerns about BOTH love interests along the way, but the twist that happens later on still came as a surprise.

In the end, Freya gets not only the new start she was looking for, but a future she never even dreamed. Though the story is good, I admit to getting lost in the descriptions of the island, the resort, and the bookshop because they are simply SCRUMPTIOUS. Trust me, my fellow bookish readers, you’ll think you’ve found another version of heaven on earth!
