Today’s second post is geared towards kiddos of all ages, but especially those wee ones that might be thinking about adopting a new hairstyle, or rather hair without the actual styling. Confused? Don’t be; I’ll have you clear of the tangles in just a second. Ladies and gents, get ready to be HAIR-mazed as we shine the book spotlight on today’s Rachel’s Random Resources blog tour guest and ebook of choice...

Princess No Knots
by
Deborah Dillon & Matt Richards

About the book...

Princess No Knots LOVES her long golden hair as much as she LOVES her bath time, but she does NOT love having it brushed. When her flowing locks end up in knots, the King tells her they will have to be cut and takes away her crown. Enter a world of determination, sprinkled with a small dose of magic, to find out if the strong-willed Princess finds a way to get back her crown, keep her name and save the hair she so loves. A must read rhyming picture book for any parent who struggles with the dreaded 'hair wash' night! Available on amazon.co.uk.

This charming tale filled with lustrous illustrations shares the story of Princess No Knots and her incredible mane. Readers will get a kick out of her love for bath time adventures...and sadly relate to those not so fun times with the hairbrush. Let’s just say, as someone that has had long hair off and on throughout her life, I feel for her...it’s certainly not the best part of the arrangement. When the king takes a stand against her new unruly look, she finally takes it to heart...with a little magical help to ease the way. Now, I know what you’re thinking, kiddos are going to want the magic in real life too...but the REAL MAGIC here isn’t in the brush, but in how it’s viewed, and wielded. Once the apprehension is eased, and the understanding is made, it releases the tension that’s built which made a mountain out of a molehill, and this hairy situation becomes that much easier to handle.

A great rhyming story time read for the kiddos, as well as a tool to help ease the fears of those that dread the inevitable brushing...because there’s not much that a little humor, and a dash of magic can’t help to set to right.

About the author...

Deborah Dillon's love of books, poems and story telling stems from her Granddad Jim who always used to make up stories at bedtime when she was young. Every story would take her to crazy worlds of adventure and friendship, each story sprinkled with a tiny bit of determination.

Since having children of her own Deborah has continued this family tradition but rather than keeping all the stories in her head, she decided to write them down. As her children were growing up she was inspired to write about whatever obstacles or challenges they, or their friends, faced then overcame.

Deborah is a firm believer that something magical happens when you read a book together.
