Today, we've got another special treat for you. It's not a one post day, but a two! Our second guest comes to us via The Children's Book Review, and stars a Picture Book that defies basic explanation. How so? Well, did YOU try to pronounce the title? Exactly! It's as unique as it sounds, and a fun experience to boot, so, without further ado, let's take a closer look between the epages of today's blog tour guest...

About the book...
Chulippitee. Buckadoodle. Uckeybuckey.
What do these words have in common? Poppy and Freddy invented them!
Freddy and his grandfather, Poppy, love to spend time together. One day, while they’re eating a snack, Poppy says, “Buckadoodle,” to Freddy. What does this mean? Freddy isn’t sure, but Poppy promises he will find out!
Join Freddy and Poppy on this word-game adventure, and maybe invent a word or two of your own that shows your loved ones just how much you care!

One of the BEST things about the English language is the fun that can be had with it. We are given carte blanc license to create words that fit a place, a person, a situation, or even a FEELING. Think about it. It wasn't that long ago that GOOGLE was simply the name of a new company with a search engine, and now when we refer to looking something up instantly for explanation or further insight, we tell them to "GOOGLE it". Am I right? There are dozens, well, more than dozens, but I digress, SO MANY examples of new words being created each year, as seen by trends, and additions to formal dictionaries. The thing is...it doesn't have to land in a common use research tool to MEAN something or be counted as a word. If it means something to you and yours THAT makes it special all on its own.
The grandfather and grandson in this story do just that...create words, and then word play with those words to not only have fun, and play, but to express how they feel about each other. It was a way for Poppy to say "i love you" without ever actually saying those specific words, and yet it meant just as much to Freddy, if not more. It was a creative and fun story that really brought to life the power of words and our power to wield them...and seeing the joy ad love between these two simply brought a smile to my heart; something I think will be shared by other readers that encounter this creative work.
