Taste Testing Thursdays: Against the Grain

Hey guys and gals!
Welcome back to Satisfaction for Insatiable Readers.

Today, we're taking a break from the reviews to indulge in a little visual entertainment...a teaser if you will.  Live and in living color, we've got a book trailer for a unique interactive Graphic Novel experience that can be had both on the page and off in the land of virtual forevers.

Growing up as a girl is hard. For Leslie, a young tomboy with a wild imagination, it’s even harder. Young readers will relate to her a wild imagination as she reminds them to be themselves. Through excellent illustrations and the inclusion of storyboards in the ebook app, readers will follow Leslie on a journey of self-discovery as she struggles to stay true to her free and independent spirit.  Join her on her adventures as she discovers her true identity in a story filled with wit and wonder!

Sounds curious, right?
Well then, you'll want to take a looksie at the visual treat below....

Now, I'm not one for book trailers normally, but I gotta say, this one does have appeal.  I think it adds a pretty cool aspect to the overall experience seeing how Graphic Novels tend to be pretty quick reads, and it just might work to draw readers in a bit more for an even more memorable experience.  Volumes 1 and 2 are available now from Slightly Off Productions via the Apple App Store.

Special thanks to Kevin at Leabhar Public Relations for the heads up regarding this promotion.  (THANKS!)  For more information on the interactive downloadable adventure, visit the Apple App Store (yep, only available on the Apple platform right now), or to pick up the tree editions of series, check out a virtual retailer of your choosing.

Until next time...happy reading!
